Craniosacral Therapy

Duncan CST

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle hands-on technique used to calm the nervous system and reduce pain throughout the body.  It releases restrictions in the soft tissues surrounding the central nervous system, which consists of the brain and spinal cord.  The central nervous system affects all other systems in the body, therefore affecting its structure may help alleviate a wide variety of symptoms and dysfunctions.

From Amber Wellness Group Dr. Amy Kelchner, ND:

“Although I have studied many forms of bodywork, I find craniosacral therapy to be the most profound, with the greatest potential for deep healing.  With a light touch, I use my hands to evaluate the craniosacral system by gently feeling various locations of the body to test for the ease of motion and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid pulsing around the brain and spinal cord.  I then use soft-touch techniques to release restrictions in any tissues influencing the craniosacral system.  By freeing the central nervous system to perform at its best, craniosacral therapy naturally eliminates pain and stress, strengthens your resistance to disease, and enhances your health and well-being.  Because it is so gentle, craniosacral therapy can be effective for all ages, from newborns to elders.”
