A Time for Reflection

A Time for Reflection

Can you believe it’s November already?! Though this year has felt long in many ways, it still feels surprising that November is upon us. As November typically brings shorter days and colder temperatures this can be a beautiful opportunity to create a deeper connection with the things that feel the most important to you. For many of us, connecting with friends and family makes all the difference and for others turning within and quieting, to deepen your spiritual and emotional connection.

Dr. Lisa is excited to share that she is beginning a two year meditation teacher training program. This will benefit all of us as she shares more insights and techniques to bring mindfulness to our daily lives. This month she will share with us the beginning teachings of loving kindness meditation. See below for some instruction on how to incude a few minutes of loving kindness into your daily self care routine.

November happiness tips from AWG, because let’s face it we could all use a little more happiness and perspective right now:

  • Focus on gratitude! Start a gratitude buddy system and text 3 things you are grateful each day to this person!
  • Find a cause to support! One favorite is donating Thanksgiving meals to Portland Rescue Mission here.
  • Start a mindfulness meditation practice! We are here to help!
  • Support and prioritize your own health so you can do all the amazing things you are here to do!
